For additional information please visit: https://www.scouts.org.uk/about-us/strategy/ Our Group In Shireoaks currently, we provide a Cub Scout section, this is for eight years olds to ten and a half-year-olds, the Cub Scout Pack provided an enjoyable active programme for the young people. We are hoping to start a Scout Section and a Beaver Scout section, soon so that we can better meet the needs of our community. Do you see yourself as a volunteer? The good news is ‘you shaped’ what you do and decide how much time you give. Scouting happens when a lot of us give a little (and no, you don’t have to be a Scout or outdoors expert to volunteer). Scouting is needed now more than ever. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit our young people hard – with two-thirds saying it impacted on their mental health. Having people positive role models to guide the way is whats needed.
